Eduardo will be taken to the OR around 4pm. Around 9pm the surgeon will let us know if the liver is completely compatible and whether or not they will proceed. The procedure itself can take up to 16 hours.
After the transplant, Eduardo will have to stay in the hospital for 6 weeks and still receive a few more rounds of Chemotherapy. I spoke with his mom who is very tearful. She said she is feeling happy, worried, and sad all at once.
I reassured her that our prayers are with them.
As I found out more information, I will let you all know.
